Our organization prides itself on the speedy and efficient implementation of our ground-breaking technology. The purpose of our company is not to solely focus on the people that can easily pay for water, but our goal is to focus on the people that really need the water. With this in mind, our entire utility system would be transformed. For example in California, many water districts use a system of billing called tiered billing. This billing system inherently harms the poor and the middle class, because it says that if you use a little too much water you can be bumped up into another tier of water billing. These tiers can in some cases, have over a 100% difference in cost of water. Thus with this system, the poor people that can’t afford to pay double triple or even quadruple what their water usually cost end up not having an option but to pay this prejudicial and discriminatory fine.
