The Danger of Bacteria

Bacteria is one of the most common contaminants in raw water (Water before it goes into the water purification plants) In the plants, they use various methods such as chlorine, UV, or ozone to purify and kill the bacteria. The issues comes in after the water has left the water purification plant and is sitting in pipes and storage tanks whereupon the water has a chance to grow harmful bacteria that has the potential to severally harm the people drinking it. Generally, with the exception of the Netherlands, chlorine is used to kill bacteria (Chlorine has can have massive health consequences but has also saved 10s of millions of people.
